A place to venture into the steppes wetlands of Castille-La Mancha
Built in 2005, it took advantage of the former local pool’s facilities of the town. It also exhibits and acclaims the natural values of our Lagoon Complex; formed by four lagoons with a water regime dependant on overflowing waters.
This Lagoon Complex is formed by the Retamar Lagoon, Navalafuente Lagoon, Alcahozo Lagoon (hyper-saline) and the Town’s Lagoon.

TOWN'S LAGOON:
Endorheic in origin, it has an area of 54 hectares and it is included in the La Mancha Húmeda Biosphere Reserve since 1981 and in the Natura 2000 Network, among other noteworthy figures. It owes its ornithological importance to the presence of the flamingo, the white-headed duck, and a wide range of waders, plovers and redshanks. The species found will vary depending on the season of the year, as this ecosystem has more than 120 species of vertebrates.
